Features

What the Earth United app does

Choosing a problem in the app and answering a short multiple-choice question by tapping.
Official safety guidance pinned at the top of an action plan.
Problem is the Solution

Your action plan

Pick your problem: Heat & Cooling, Water & Drought, Wildfire & Smoke, Storms & Flood, or Food & Garden. Answer two or three questions (taps, not typing) and add your location. In under a minute you get a plan built around your situation and your local forecast.

  • Every step can be checked off, so you see your progress.
  • Safety guidance for heat, wildfire smoke and flooding comes from WHO, EPA and civil-protection sources, pinned at the top, and is never AI-generated.
  • "Understand it" opens the free knowledge base on that subject; "Find help nearby" shows people near you who work on it.
  • Three plans a day are free, and the first one never asks you to sign up.
  • Upgrade: the Full Resilience Plan is deeper and comes with a shareable PDF (2 credits).

Today: what actually needs doing

Garden and plant health

Look after your garden with your own local conditions in view.

  • Plant Health Scanner: photograph a struggling plant and get an identification, a likely diagnosis and an organic treatment plan. You can confirm the match against reference photos. 1 credit, refunded automatically if the scan fails for a technical reason.
  • Weather intelligence: frost risk, heat stress, watering windows and growing-degree-day tracking for your exact location.
  • Ecosystem board: build your garden as a living map of how your plants support, shade and compete with each other.
  • Garden Smart Actions: ecosystem analysis, a planting advisor, a risk monitor, a harvest predictor and more. They draw on your garden plus local soil, climate and biodiversity data. 1 credit each.
  • Garden Visual Creator: generate a design image of the garden you're planning. 1 credit.
Gaia in Distress

The planet, live

A 3D globe of what is happening to Earth right now: earthquakes, wildfires, floods, storms, extreme heat and air quality. Filter by crisis type, spin to any region, and tap any event to see what you can do.

  • Built from public data sources including USGS, NASA (EONET and FIRMS), GDACS, OpenAQ and NOAA.
  • Free.

Learn

Understand it, at your own pace

  • Knowledge base (free): regenerative practice, permaculture, water, soil, food and energy.
  • AI learning sessions: work through any topic as a guided conversation with quizzes, source citations from our knowledge base, and read-aloud. AI learning is pay-as-you-go: each exchange uses a small amount of credit, typically about 50 exchanges per credit. New learners get 2 welcome credits to try it. Free accounts can have up to 10 exchanges a day; subscribers have no daily limit.
  • Did You Know: a daily 30-second card and quiz. The deck is 150 cards, written and fact-checked by our team. Free.
  • Place Reveal: pick any place on Earth and read its ecological story (climate, landscape, wildlife and the pressures it faces), written from real environmental data. 1 credit per new place, with the PDF included; reopening a place is free.

Alerts that respect you

Heat and frost forecasts for your places and gardens before they hit, plus a nudge on the plan you started. Quiet hours are respected, and one alert a day is the maximum.

How we use AI

We use AI where it saves you real time, and we tell you exactly where.

  • AI writes the plan; real data grounds it; safety text is never AI-generated.
  • Every AI action shows its price first.
  • We say "likely", not "certain".
